Vietnamese Lemon Is Like Gold in New Zealand (Mar 23)

Ambassador Tredene Dobson of Vietnam-New Zealand has assessed that the two countries have great potential in the food and beverage (F&B) industry, with Vietnam exporting USD 17.5M in 2020 and F&B products accounting for 80% of total merchandise exports. New Zealand opened the door to import citrus products from Vietnam last year, and businesses should study the market and work with processors to add value and make products easier to export. Agricultural products, food, and beverages account for the majority of New Zealand's exports to Vietnam, and F&B products accounted for 80% of the country's total merchandise exports last year. Lemon is one of the food items successfully exported by Vietnam to New Zealand, and New Zealand's experience in technology in agriculture will complement Vietnam's development potential.
