
In W22 in the oats landscape, the percentage of completed oat planting in the US increased by 11% WoW to 93%, which is 1% more than the five-year average. Oat conditions across the country were rated 6% very poor, 8% poor, 30% fair, 51% good, and 5% excellent. In Iowa, the US, 97% of the oats planted have emerged, while in Minnesota, 94% of the oat planting has been completed. The warm and dry weather gave Minnesota farmers almost six and a half days suitable for fieldwork. In Ukraine, the sowing of early spring crops, such as spring wheat, barley, peas, and oats, has already been completed. Overall, grain and leguminous crops have already been sown on over 5.47M hectares in Ukraine as of W22. In particular, oats were sown on 145.6K hectares in Ukraine. The sowing campaign in Tatarstan, Russia, in 2023 that started early against the backdrop of favourable weather conditions is ending. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, as of May 31, 1.83M hectares were sown with grain crops, including 2K hectares of oats. Lastly, in May 2023, 457MT of oats were shipped from the Tyumen region to Kazakhstan.
