Brazil: Fruticulture from Minas Gerais wins 1st IP (Oct 10)

Fruit growers in the Jaíba Region celebrate a great achievement. The National Institute of Industrial Property (Inpi) approved the Geographical Indication (IG), in the Indication of Origin (IP) modality, for the production of banana, mango, papaya and Tahiti acid lime, produced in the region. The recognition will benefit around 2,500 fruit growers, who produce more than 450,000 tons of fruit per year.

Egyptian lemons are expected to be ready for export in W42. For a 15kg, Telescopic carton sizing differs from 72, 88-100, 113, 125-138, and 150. The price for class 1 lemons size 72 is around USD 17.60/15kg CFR, and size 150 is USD 16.60/15kg. The price for class 2 ranges from USD 15.90/15 kg for size 72 to USD 15.40/15kg for size 150.
