Chile's fruit exports saw significant growth in January 2023, according to the Agricultural Policies Office (Odepa). The country exported 384K tons of fruit, an increase of 18.6% in volume, generating a value of USD 1.622B FOB, a 7.3% increase compared to January 2022. Fresh fruit accounted for 90.4% of the exports, 6.9% were processed fruit, and 2.8% were nuts. Fresh fruit sales reached 330K tons, equivalent to USD 1.465B FOB. Cherries were the main species exported in this group, with a volume of 239.5K tons, equivalent to USD 1.2195B FOB, and represented 83% of the total fresh fruit exports, with China as the main destination for Chilean cherry exports. Blueberries followed cherries, with shipments of 35.6K tons equivalent to USD 161.3M FOB. Processed fruit shipments reached 42.7K tons equivalent to USD 111M FOB, representing a 5% increase in volume and a 22.7% increase in value compared to January 2022.

In W8, Chinese blueberries in the Shanghai market sell incredibly well. The selling price of Chinese blueberries stood at USD 20.31-21.76/1.5kg (RMB 140–150/1.5kg) for 15mm+ size. It sells quickly due to the limited arrival volume and great demand in China.
China: Price Increase of Chinese Blueberries During W8 (Feb 24)
In W8, the price of Chinese Yunnan blueberries increased to USD 23.16-24.61/1.5kg (RMB 160-170/1.5kg) for size 15 mm+ due to a low output value. The sale price of size 14mm+ ranged from USD 21.71-23.16/1.5kg (RMB 150-160/1.5kg). Due to the low output value and fast market sales, buyers had to book the product before it arrived.
Peru: Peruvian Blueberry Exports Would Grow 30% In the 2022/23 Campaign (Feb 22)
Peru has experienced a 16-fold growth in the exported volume of blueberries in less than a decade, going from 17.3K tons in 2013 to 275.8K tons exported in 2022. The estimated exports for the 2022/23 campaign could reach 285K tons, an increase of around 30% compared to the 2021/22 campaign with 216.8K tons.

In W7, Peruvian fresh blueberry shipments reached 3.1K tons, an increase of 111% compared to the same period in 2022, with 1.4K tons. The accumulated amount of the campaign increased to 324.5K tons, exceeding last season by 28%.
Raspberry

In Poland, the price of blueberries and raspberries has increased due to bad weather. The availability of raspberries is low. On Dutch wholesale markets, raspberries are priced at USD 17.12-19.40/kg (PLN 75-85/kg). In the Bronisze wholesale market prices are higher due to transport costs. A 1.5kg carton of raspberries stood at USD 31.95/kg (PLN 140/kg).
Strawberry

In Greece, strawberry exports continue to increase during February 2023, amounting to 4.7K tons, compared to 3.1K tons in the same period of 2022, with stable demand.
In South Korea, the Rural Development Administration announced that high-quality strawberry ‘Altaking’ cultivated in Korea has received attention from Thai importers and consumers, confirming the possibility of entering promising overseas markets.
