China became more dependant on sesame seeds' import as the local demand surged

The import of sesame seeds in China has surged to its peak alongside the growth of global import. As a result, China imported more sesame seeds from most of its exporters, such as Ethiopia, which overtaken Nigeria's position as the 4th largest exporter of sesame seeds export to China with a total growth of 115.1% in 2019.
