Canola prices in Australia tumbled in the week ending May 6th, as a record area of 3.4 million hectares is forecast, and conditions have been excellent for winter crops. Wholesale domestic prices dropped by as much as 30% WoW, to USD 0.62/kg as of May 6th. International prices also dropped as Canada's canola plantings made rapid progress after falling far behind earlier in the season.
