Blueberry Prices in South Africa Hit Highs while Argentina Weakened Towards Year-End

The price of blueberries (Elegido) in Argentina fell by -3.96% YoY which was lowered to USD 4.98 per kg at the end of December 2021. As Argentine blueberries take longer to arrive overseas, the market chose to lower the price slightly to avoid the decrease in quality if blueberries are stored too long. On the other hand, fresh blueberries in South Africa increased by +52.23% YoY and were even more expensive at USD 3.94 per kg last December. The high demand for South African blueberries leads to high prices for this season.
