Rising Export Demand Keeps Thailand Cassava Starch Price High

The farmgate price of cassava starch in Thailand rose slightly by +2.42% to 0.46 USD/KG as entering W3 December 2021. The price increase since last year coincided with China's high demand for Thai cassava starch as a result of lower imports from Vietnam in order to restrict imports through the border gate to prevent the spread of the Covid pandemic thus making the progress of shipments very slow.
