Common Bean Prices in China Rise as Weather Cuts Supply

The price of dried common beans in Xinjiang, China rose +2.53% YoY to 2.51 USD/KG in W2 December 2021. Likewise, the price of dried common beans in Jiangsu, China rose +15.12% YoY to 2.01 USD/KG at the same time. Although China's exports of beans rose significantly in 2020, production volumes that reduced supply due to rainfall and low temperatures that hit production areas in many provinces in China this year made overall prices rise which may impact the decline in purchases.
