The wholesale price of duck meat in France inclined by 12.04% month-on-month in W4 December 2021. The price in W4 November 2021 stood at USD 27.03 per KG. The price increased in W4 December 2021, selling at USD 33.81 per KG. Avian influenza confirmed in French duck farms kept the production of duck meat low in December 2021. The authorities took protection measures by partaking in preventive slaughter, in a perimeter around the confirmed location. The resulting low supply of ducks led to a price surge in 2021.
