The Wholesale Price Index of Lettuce in Mexico and Spain Surge, while US Numbers Falls in W3 November 2021

The wholesale sale price index of lettuce in Mexico, the US, and Spain on 15 November 2021 by +5.31% WoW, -1.8% WoW, and +8.66% WoW, respectively. The highest peak of the wholesale price index in Mexican lettuce was on 15 November 2021 at 141.73. While The US recorded an all-time high on 1st November 2021 at 186.83. Lastly, Spanish lettuce’s wholesale price index marked the highest point at 359.52 on 4 October 2021. Consumption per capita of US lettuce which was the main importer of Mexico surged to +17% in 2020. Meanwhile, German consumption of lettuce as the main importer of Spanish lettuce soared by +9.3%. This increased demand from the main importer made the Mexican and Spanish lettuce price index potentially soar. On the other hand, production of US lettuce increased +6.13% YoY, and an agreement from Canada that suspended US export potentially make the price index of US lettuce decrease.
