The price index of Candian orange surged in 2021. On 16 August 2021, the price index recorded at the highest peak at 145.58. Meanwhile, on 15 November 2021, the price index of orange in Egypt and South Africa declined to 64.86 and 45.25, respectively. The Canadian orange price index increased due to the high demand for the consumption of oranges. On the other hand, Egyptian oranges were not able to benefit from the high demand as they encountered unfavorable weather conditions and logistics issues while South African oranges struggled with bad weather.
