Price of Turkish Tomato Rises 33% MoM on Global Demand and Triggers an Export Ban

The wholesale price for Vine Riped tomatoes in Turkey had risen by 33% MoM in March, as the average monthly price reached USD 0.99/kg. The increase is due to the sharp rise in tomato prices in Europe, for which the Turkish government has imposed an export ban to ensure food security and price stability.
