Higher Import Prices behind Rise in Pineapple Exports to the US

Despite the import price of pineapple in the US market fell around February and March, it remained at 0.26-0.27 USD per KG throughout the middle of 2021, the highest value compared to last year. Improving import prices has happened with the increased amount of pineapple that can be shipped to the US to around 1.5B pounds in 2020, up 7% from the total volume in mid-early 2020.
