Organic Avocados Show Higher Price Volatility than Conventional in Peru

Peru's hass avocado wholesale price has shown a change of +14% increase from last year's. In the major avocado consumption market in Europe, France, the domestic price for organic avocado soared above 45% and reached 9.15 USD per 4KG oackage in 2021, which is more than double of the hass avocado wholesale price in Peru. The avocado market price in France has grown rapidly since the second week of March 2021. The difference in their volatility between the producer and consumption market certainly makes importers start thinking what is driving the discrepancy.
