TAN is a fermented milk drink made from cow's or goat's milk with the addition of lactic acid bacteria starter, lactic yeast, water and table salt. Tan is used as a thirst quencher during the summer heat. Superbly refreshes, improves appetite and keeps the digestive tract in good shape. A very tasty Tan can be obtained by adding fresh herbs or a little spice. Tang is used as a fermented medium for summer cold vegetable soups. Tan can also be used to knead dough for flatbreads, to bake fish or meat, in combination with mung bean soup.
