As of W52, Tanzanian cashew auctions have reached the 11th week since the start of the 2022/23 season. Farmers obtained more than USD 128,76M after 165,000MT were sold. According to the Cashew Nut Board of Tanzania, most of the cashews in the 2022/23 season were not sold through the warehouse receipt system, as farmers stored their crops at homes after harvesting for processing. However, auctions are expected to continue because of the delayed cashew season.
