Turkish Salmon Export Value Increased 32% YoY in the First Half of 2023

In the first half of 2023, Turkish salmon exports amounted to USD 163 million, an increase of 32% year-on-year (YoY) from USD 124 million in the corresponding period in 2022. During the same period, export volume increased 35% YoY to 22,623 metric tons (mt) from 16,774 mt. Moreover, Turkish salmon was exported to 40 countries between Jan-23 and Jun-23, with Russia being the primary destination with USD 94.5 million, followed by Germany at USD 29 million, and Belarus at USD 12.4 million. Notably, Turkish salmon exports diversified compared to the same period in 2022, expanding to include destinations such as Malaysia, Ukraine, Dubai, Bulgaria, Qatar, France, Azerbaijan, Spain, Israel, and Kuwait.
