Brown sugar price spike before upcoming Ramadan celebrations

The price of brown sugar in the local market has risen by almost 50% since 3 weeks ago. The normal price usually is rm10.50 but goes up to rm16. It is influenced by the Ramadhan and coming Eid Mubarak. Brown sugar is one of the main products used in baking and dishes for Eid Mubarak. The price is expected to normal in June 2020.
