A number of local farmers in Bali have recently been successful in exporting soursop and passionfruit to the buyers in Taiwan. This export was facilitated by the local representative of the Ministry of Agriculture who also provided the phytosanitary certificate, a required document for both commodities to enter the Taiwanese market. Although the export volume was not as big as other tropical fruit varieties such as mangosteen, this export was still viewed as a solid stepping stone to open new consumers based in Eastern Asian countries and to also diversify the fruits varieties to be sold overseas, especially outside of major harvest season in the span of June and July 2020.
