Turkey's salmon exports have increased amid the Covid19 outbreak. Turkey's biggest trout producer Ozpekler reports that they have sold 250 tons of trout and salmon to Europe in the month of March. The interest in Turkish salmon and trout has especially risen up in Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, and Czechia.

Turkey produces 350 kmt of salmon annually and Turkish salmon is becoming more competitive against Norwegian salmon in the export markets. However, the interest in trout and salmon remains lukewarm in the domestic market.
