Farm gate price of melons increased in Adana, Turkey

Melon harvest continues at full speed in Adana and the farm gate prices have recently risen from 0.15 USD per kg to 0.30 USD per kg. The growers note that the prices can increase even further to 0.36 USD per kg due to the decline in production areas.

The annual melon production yield in Turkey is around 1,800 kmt and the city of Adana is responsible for 200 kmt of the melon production.
