Malaysian government taking measures to keep sugar price in check

The Malaysian government will take action whereby any supplier who takes advantage of selling sugar exceeds the maximum price set during the MCO here. The maximum price set by the government for retail sales of crude sugar is RM2.85 per kg and refined sugar is RM2.95 per kg. The suppliers may not sell above the specified price.
