The Trade Ministry of Turkey announced a new list of agricultural products to be included within the import surveillance regime. The import surveillance regime is intended to serve as a monitoring program to protect the farmers of the same listed products grown and produced domestically.
The new list includes garlic, banana, green tea, black tea, Paraguayan tea, sweet pepper, red pepper, safflower, sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, and peanuts.
According to the surveillance regime, importers need to apply with the product intended to be imported and wait for the import approval which takes around 10 days.
