US eyes EU lobster tariffs in ongoing dispute

The US is considering adding tariffs to the import of European cars in retaliation to an 8% duty applied to American lobsters entering the continent. Canadian producers would stand to suffer if American tariffs are lifted as Canadian lobster is not subject to import charges since the CETA Trade Agreement passed in September 2017.
