Lobster industry suffered due to the Corona Virus

The coronavirus outbreak hit during the busiest time of the year for lobster exporters, around the lucrative Chinese New Year festivities in February, when lobsters are usually in high demand. It is estimated that around 400 tonnes of lobsters were not caught because sales to China collapsed due to the virus.
The freight truck drivers and factories that sorted lobsters for export were also affected because no fish were being processed.
