As the main planting season peaks in Nigeria, the National agricultural seed council has certified 81,000 metric tonnes of rice, maize, sorghum, soybean, cowpea, millet, groundnut, wheat, sesame and potato for distribution across the country.
Restrictions on interstate movement have crumbled the distribution of grains for farmers to purchase since the planting season commenced in April and this is expected to affect the production and harvest yield.
