Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a ban on imports of live pigs and pig products processed from Italy. Taiwan specifies that the measure is not linked to the Rome decision on restrictions on flights to and from Taipei on fears of contagion of the coronavirus but is based on "scientific bases". However, Coldiretti says that the recessionary climate caused by the coronavirus emergency "has caused a sharp slowdown in exports of Made in Italy agri-food products to China after setting the historical record in 2019 for an estimated value of 460 million euros.
