Turkey, Greece, and Bulgaria agree to reciprocally close their land borders restricting the border crossing. Export and import shipments by trucks are said not to be affected by this decision. Sea transportation by ferries between Greece and Turkey is also affected and shut down.
On the other hand, there are long queues of trucks on both sides of the Turkish-Bulgarian border and some Turkish exporters have expressed concerns that their shipments to Kosovo are negatively impacted and they are not allowed entry by Bulgarian customs authorities.
It's reported that in fact, Bulgarian customs officials are not impeding any truck shipments coming from Turkey however, the same authorities are carefully checking the hygiene conditions of each truck driver.
