Chicken factories are still operating under Covid-19 bubble and seal restrictions. This had initially led to a shortage of poultry supply in the market. However, the worker shortage lead to chickens growing to a larger size, since fewer chickens were slaughtered daily. This has helped alleviate the initial supply shortage. Factories now have fewer total number of chickens being slaughtered, but the chickens that are being processed are larger and thus supply more meat.
