African swine fever: 236 new outbreaks have been reported worldwide

According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), 236 new outbreaks of African swine fever were reported, between 2nd October and 15th October. The total number of outbreaks rose to 7522, with 3976 in Romania alone and 1475 in Vietnam alone. Among these new cases, 193 were reported in Europe, 42 in Asia and 1 in Africa. Countries with new or ongoing outbreaks are Germany, Bulgaria, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, China, India, Indonesia, North Korea, South Korea, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Russia, Timor East, Vietnam, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia.
