According to CNA (Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil), from January to September this 2020, Brazil exported US$ 77.9 billion in agricultural products, registering a new trade surplus milestone of US$ 68.7 billion. This result is 7.5% above the same period last year. Volume wise, the growth was 14.8%, reaching 172 million tonnes.
The leading products were soybean (US$ 27.2 billion); beef (US$ 5.4 billion); vhp sugar (US$ 5 billion); wood pulp (US$ 4.5 billion) and soybean meal (US$ 4.5 billion). These five products accounted for 59.8% of total amount exported in the period. And the main destination markets were China (36.8%), European Union (16.2%) and the USA (6.3%), followed by Japan (2.3%) and South Korea (2.1%).
