The Argentine economy transports 83% of its grain and derivates production using trucks, 13% by train, and only 4% via barges through rivers. Meanwhile, Argentina’s neighboring country Brazil transports its agricultural production with the following distribution: 60% trucks, 33% train, and 7% barges. As another benchmark, the United States makes the most of the Mississippi River mobilizing 61% with barges, 23% by train, and the remaining 16% by truck.
