The industry of shrimp exporters in Argentina, previously planned to start the shrimp season in the middle of October 2022, sending vessels to the prospection tides along with the INIDEP (Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Pesquero) to define and authorize the zone to fish, located in provincial waters near the coast of Argentina.
At the beginning of October, exporters started negotiations, but salary disagreements with unions have generated delays in the season. Exporters will start fishing activities once a salary increase agreement is accepted.
