Artichoke: reduction in exports during the 1st Semester 2020

During the first semester 2020, Peru exported 18,721 mt of artichoke, 22% less than the same period 2019. This has been one of the most effected products during COVID-19. The reduction went from -30% during April and May to - 20$ during June.

Main markets during this period where: USA (75% share) with a total volume of 14,074 mt (25% less than 2019) and Spain (13% share) a total volume of 2,482mt (15% less than 2019).

Most important importers in USA where Atalanta Co. (12% share)and Roland Foods Llc. (8% share). Spain´s most important importers where Alsur Productos Vegetales S.L.(46% share) and Conservas el Cidaco S.A.(14% share)
