Aussie lamb opportunities in 2021

A number of hot spots have emerged around the globe for premium Australian sheep meat, lamb and mutton exports, as the economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic begins.

For suppliers (producers and exporting groups), tight cattle supplies meant prices would “remain in good shape” into 2021, he said. However, lamb producers faced a “more challenging” period as the price might be more uncertain.

Getting into a detail by country, there has been a positive growth for Australian lamb in Canada and Kuwait, and next year opportunities will be heading in the same direction. Additionally, both countries seem to be recovering slowly. Unemployment is falling in areas such as Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec for Canada. While non-oil private sector activity is showing the first signs of recovery in Kuwait.
