In Jan-24, at the Azores auctions in Portugal, Bigeye Tuna (Thunnus obesus) and Atlantic Mackerel (Trachurus trachurus) were the top traded species. Bigeye Tuna led with over 37 metric tons (mt) sold at an average price of USD 7.88 per kilogram (kg) (EXW), while Atlantic Mackerel followed closely with a total volume of 32 mt and an average price of USD 1.44/kg (EXW).
