Since the beginning of Oct-24, the Portuguese Azorean auctions have seen increased activity for Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis). The total volume traded has reached over 300 metric tons (mt) since the beginning of the month, with the average size of tuna ranging from 3 to 6 kilograms (kg). Prices have shown some variability due to market demand and catch conditions, with the current average price hovering around USD 3.04/kg EXW for fresh products.
