The price of Barley and wheat prices are growing up. Turkey’s barley production has fallen by half due to the drought. Price increases caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine also negatively affect the grain market. While the prices increase for all grains, especially wheat and barley prices, draw attention.
According to the Turkish Feed Manufacturers Association data, Barley prices increased from USD 263.13/mt in January to USD 330.59/mt in April. While the prices were at the level of USD 246.26/mt in February, the increase in fees by 50% quickly is attributed to the fact that the Turkish Grain Commission did not sell enough barley to the market.

The price in months
February: USD 246.26/mt
March: USD 310.35/mt
April USD 330.59/mt
