Egypt's Black Pepper Prices Surged by 33% in Jan-24 Due to Inflation and Decline in US Dollar Value

The price of black pepper in Egypt experienced an increase in Jan-24, reaching USD 7792.12 per ton (EGP 240,000/ton). This marks a notable 33% month-on-month (MoM) rise compared to USD 5844.09/ton (EGP 180,000/ton) recorded in Nov-23. The increase is due to factors such as the inflation rate and a decline in the value of the United States (US) dollar.
