Brazil suspends tax on imports of corn and soybeans

Again, the Brazilian government suspended the import tax applied to imports of corn, soybeans, soybean oil, and soybean meal. The measure is expected to improve the supply of these products in the domestic market with lower prices. The measure is expected to go into effect next week and be valid until December 31 of this year. Despite the expectation of a record soybean harvest, international demand for the product increases, especially from China. The exchange rate between the dollar and the real continues to keep exports interesting, which aggravates supply and prices in the domestic market.
