Canada is the world's second-largest cranberry producer after the United States with the vast majority of production coming from Quebec and British Columbia with minor production in the Maritimes. Cranberries are available year-round with harvesting occurring from late Septmeber to November. Though a significant portion of production is contracted to Ocean Spray and Fruit D'Or, there are several producers who also sell direct to the domestic and international markets.
