Canadian flax outlook postive for farmers

Canadian flax suppliers are expecting solid pricing for this year's flaxseed crop based on projections that Kazhakstan and Russia will have lower production. Statistics Canada is expecting domestic production to increase to 512,000 MT, from 486,000 MT last year, but lower carryover supply and increased demand are expected to raise average prices between $510-$550/MT.
