The Canadian government announced the creation of the Pork Promotion and Research Agency to help the country's pork industry. The Agency will help producers enter new markets, provide additional market intelligence, and manage the risks of African Swine Fever. The Agency will be funded using levies on pork imports with the goal of helping the industry succeed in new markets, both internationally and domestically.
