The total lentil supply in Canada is forecasted to be 500K tonnes higher than in 2022. Canadian lentil exports are forecasted to increase by 2.3M tonnes in the 2022/23 season. Canada’s largest lentil importers are India, Turkey, and the UAE. The competition from Australia and Canada and the oversupply in the world market for lentils are influencing market prices to continue to decrease. In W4 of 2023, CFR offers at Turkey’s main ports were between USD 690-710/ton.
