Cargill plans to reopen their beef processing plant in Guelph, Ontario on December 29th after suspending operations last week due to a COVID outbreak. The plant accounts for a significant portion of Eastern Canada's beef processing capacity and new safety measures have been implemented to protect workers. The temporary closure occurred as 82 staff contracted COVID.
