Chilean Avocado to Stay in America

The surge in costs of sea-freight paired with the lack of containers and the delays in lay-overs in ports of different countries around the globe seems to be leading many avocado suppliers from Chile to explore exports to neighboring countries in an attempt to avoid potential problems and claims. Under normal circumstances, a container takes 25- 30 days to travel from Chile to China, but right now, the lead time is upwards of 40 days, which poses a big challenge for a product like avocado.
