Chilean Cherry Prices in Thailand

Currently, cherries from Chile are being imported to Thailand with no import duty and are sold in packs or boxes of 5kg. Most of the shopkeepers are sellers are not direct importers themselves and buy the products from importers and the supply chain for imported fruits generally consists of:

- Fruit importers
- Talad Thai shopkeeper
- Bulk Breakers
- Retail outlets/markets
- Final consumer.

Most sellers focus on 3J and 4J sizes and they usually earn THB 100-150 per box of 5kg. The average prices this season in December in Thailand for Chilean cherries are as follows:

- 2J THB 3300
- 3J THB 3500
- 4J THB 3650

Vendors expect the price to drop by about THB 2-300 per 5kg box around January when supply chain issues are ironed out.
