The low supply of mature coconut used as an ingredient in crude coconut oil (CCNO) has forced the majority of CCNO manufacturers in East Java to close down their sales inquiry for the entirety of December 2020 and reopen the sales order again in January 2021. Aside from the low supply of mature coconut, the decision to close down the order on CCNO also stemmed from the need to use existing stock of CCNO to produce refined coconut oil (RBDO) as a means to fulfill high demand from national and overseas buyers for CCNO. In addition, selling RBDO is deemed more finally profitable in the short term.
