In Tanzania, the cloves yield has been in constant decline for the past 12 years due to no establishment of new cloves plantations, and the farmers only depend on old trees and others shifting for fruit production. The yield of cloves in Zanzibar was around 12K MT in 2011, whereas in 2022 yields were at 8K MT representing a 33% decline.
